No Parts was formed in spring of 2021 under the direction of the singer and lyricist Hannah Neuman. Since then the band has grown to a total of seven members - Mary Cate Gordon on vocals, Emily Philpot on guitar, Nick Montano on bass, Shelby Morris on cello, Mickey Osborne on keys and Severance Barrineau on drums. As a Tallahassee, FL based indie pop/ alternative rock group, they take inspiration from a variety of styles such as jazz, math rock and progrock, with each member adding their own influence.
As most of the band are members of the queer community, they strive to foster a sense of pride and acceptance for all of their fellow LGBTQ+ friends. They do this by using a variety of pronouns in their music, highlighting queer love stories and unapologetically supporting a variety of movements promoting the empowerment of marginalized groups.
They recorded their first self-titled EP in August of 2023 at Gasoline Alley and it was released in march of 2024. Since then the reception has been outstanding and they have recently been back in the studio to record a new single to be released in 2024 as they move forward in working on their second album.
