Underwire Showcase at Sarbez on Sept. 11

As part of Sing Out Loud, The Groove Coalition, Annie Dukes, Shine (of Shine and The Shakers) and El Castillo will perform at Sarbez as part of the Underwire Collective Showcase. This event is FREE and open to the public!

Rock n roll is forged in pain and catapulted by tragedy. It is polished with unwillingness to travel any other road. That electricity brought these Northeast Florida women together as one, creating the band Annie Dukes.
Annie Dukes is a female fronted rock ‘n roll band out of Jacksonville, FL. The band formed after a death that connected each member. They have toured all over the southeast in their short time as a band, landing them direct support slots with artists like Nita Strauss, Plain White T’s, Thelma and the Sleaze, Blacktop Mojo and many more. As soon as the band hit their local scene, they began to book shows. Having a full calendar during the early writing stages forced the band to find Annie’s heavy, raw, electric sound in front of crowds. It was hard work and honesty that pushed the band to tour early on and leave their hometown. The band plans to tour, record and write new music through the end of the year.
