The 2024 St. Augustine Songwriters Festival will feature over 30 artists who have penned chart-topping songs and earned numerous accolades. Among them is Brett James, whose impressive portfolio includes over 800 recorded songs by top artists such as Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney, and Jason Aldean. His Grammy-winning hit “Jesus, Take the Wheel” and titles like ASCAP’s country songwriter of the year in 2006 and 2010 highlight his stellar career. Also gracing the festival is Nashville Songwriters Hall of Famer Rivers Rutherford, known for his #1 hits with Tim McGraw, Brad Paisley, and Dolly Parton. Multiple Grammy award-winning songwriter Liz Rose, renowned for her collaborations with Taylor Swift, will be there, as will the cherished Gretchen Peters, celebrated for her songwriting for icons like Etta James, Bonnie Raitt, and George Strait. Hitmaker Matt Dragstrem, with #1 hits such as “I’ll Name The Dogs” (Blake Shelton) and “One Margarita” (Luke Bryan), rounds out this incredible lineup.

"We’ve brought together some of the most prolific and talented songwriters in the music industry for this year's festival," said Arlis Albritton, organizer of the St. Augustine Songwriters Festival. "Not only will attendees get to experience these musicians performing their hit songs, but they will also gain insight into the profound stories and creative processes behind their work. Each songwriter brings a unique narrative and approach to their craft, making this festival a true celebration of musical storytelling."
